Interior Lime Wash
Interno Lime Wash is a genuine lime-based coating for interior use, which finishes to the soft, weathered patina of a traditional lime wash. Its unique formulation allows the lime to gently “bloom” through the paint, creating depth and texture without exposure to the elements. Interno’s distinctive character and natural appearance lends itself easily to any decorating style.
Interno Lime Wash can be applied to most suitably prepared plasterboard, plaster, masonry and previously painted surfaces. Not recommended for kitchens, bathrooms or wet areas. Not suitable for wood, metal, glazed tile or bricks and other non-porous surfaces.
COLOR: Choose from an exquisite palette of proprietary colors that range from subtle neutrals to rich saturated colors. Due to the unique nature of lime wash, the lime content of the finish “blooms” to the surface, leaving the chosen color in the background, with a soft shadow of lime on the surface. As a result, colors may seem lighter, although this is less evident in lighter colors than darker ones. We suggest sampling to determine if the color chosen meets your expectations.
SURFACE PREP: New and unpainted substrates, such as sheetrock, render and brick, should be primed with two coats of Limeproof Undercoat Sealer. The first coat will be dry to the touch in 2 hours; allow 6 hours between coats. Previously painted surfaces must be in good repair, with no cracks, holes or loose paint. Apply one coat of Limeproof Undercoat Sealer and allow it to dry for 6 hours before applying Lime Wash.
APPLICATION: Interno Lime Wash is applied in two coats, using a 5” block brush in random, multi-directional strokes. Work in small sections, keeping a wet edge at all times—don’t stop until the wall is complete. Wait 6 hours before applying a second coat, using the same technique. Wipe spills and splashes off floors and trim immediately with water.
